A new campaign to support British businesses to get online and get the most out of their websites launches today.

Getting British Business Online is a partnership between Google, Enterprise UK, BT, Business Link, The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and e-skills UK, which will help 100,000 British businesses get online with a free website and free online tools.

With over 1.5million UK businesses without a website, and 17p in every pound now spent online, this new initiative will help small businesses and entrepreneurs create their first website and attract new customers online by the end of 2010.

Entrepreneurs and SMEs benefitting from the scheme will receive a free customised website, access to bespoke accredited training and a free self-help tool to attract new customers online.

The campaign is calling for partners who are leaders in advising and working with micro/small businesses and entrepreneurs to raise awareness of the benefits of being online. Partners will receive a PR boost through the national Government-backed campaign. Find out more and sign up online at http://www.gbbo.co.uk/partners/
