Background of Business
Information Technology plays a vital role in healthcare today and Bradford-based Cloud2 has been at the centre of providing software services to manage NHS trusts’ complex requirements.
The firm was established in 2008 and has grown to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, specialising in implementing Microsoft SharePoint technology for NHS trusts and health-related private sector clients. SharePoint is designed to give employees at large organisations a simple yet powerful system for creating, storing and managing information as well as collaborating on projects.
Support Journey
Cloud2 became a member of Bradford Grid, a partner agency of Bradford Council’s enterprise scheme Kickstart. Bradford Grid is a professional support network which helps firms through the pre-start and start-up phases. It provides office space alongside companies at similar growth stages for the easy exchange of advice and knowledge, as well as access to selling opportunities and business support events.
With staff members working flexibly from home using online technologies, Cloud2 used the Grid as a focal point during its early development. It formed a base to hold regular team meetings at which business strategies were devised and assessed and where the core operational team delivered numerous successful projects.
Where are they now
Having completed more than 40 projects over the past 18 months, Cloud2 has tripled its turnover since its first year. It now has eight permanent staff members within a total team of 15 and recently moved into its own office within Bradford’s Wool Exchange.
Director Taran Sohal, from Bradford, said: “We are delighted to hear from our clients that we are considered among the leading providers of SharePoint implementation within the NHS - the Grid played a vital role in us establishing that reputation so rapidly.
“Our space at the Grid allowed the team to come together regularly in an environment that was focused on enterprise, and that was critical for us at that transition stage. If you do not produce good work you do not win new contracts and we would not have been as effective working remotely all the time.”
